  • Highlands Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking spiritually mature, passionate, and nurturing early childhood educators who have been called to join our amazing team and minister to our students. We are looking to hire full-time teachers and have several openings available.     You will be tasked with engaging children in age- appropriate individual and group- based activities to stimulate growth in their spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, behavioral, and motor skills.     In order to qualify for this position you must have the following but not limited to:

    • At least 12 core ECE units and 2 years experience working in a preschool setting, or 1 year teaching. Some experience working with children 2 - 5 year olds.

    • Must be a born-again believer in an active relationship with Jesus Christ.

    • May be working on a degree in early childhood education or a related field.

    • Must have a solid understanding of early childhood development and education.

    • Must have a general understanding of technology (i.e. GSuite)

    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Highlands Christian Schools is seeking an energetic, outgoing PE teacher who prioritizes the physical fitness as well as the social-emotional development of their students.     The job responsibilities are but not limited to : 

    • Creating a physical education program to promote the development of the students’ physical attributes and social skills

    • Integrating biblical principles into the curriculum

    • Teaching individual and team sports to students and modifying each activity to adapt to the physical capabilities of the individual

    • Guiding students through sportsmanship and healthy competition

    • Conducting Presidential Fitness Tests for grades 4-8

    • Collaborating with parents to address behavioral or academic challenges

    • Earning an ACSI Teacher Certificate and renewing it as needed

  • Highlands Christian Schools is seeking a dedicated Academy Teacher who is passionate about the academic and spiritual growth of their students.   • Church of the Highlands is looking for an Audio Specialist who will a) support the various aspects of the Worship Arts, b) work closely with the Pastor of Worship Arts to understand and implement the vision, goals and direction of the Worship Arts, and c) understand and be able to communicate the mission of the church through worship and the media arts.

    Minimum Qualifications  

    A. Personal Qualifications

    • A committed, transformed believer in an active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

    • A belief in the authority of Scripture as God's Word.

    • A commitment to serve Jesus Christ through Church of the Highlands.

    • Demonstrate maturity and good decision-making.

    • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.

    • Bring a calm and steady presence in a creative environment, balancing multiple priorities with attention to detail while observing firm deadlines.

    B. Ministry Qualifications 

    • A desire to see people accept and, then, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

    • A shared worship philosophy with the Pastor of Worship Arts; commitment to a worship environment that incorporates a variety of musical genres and elements.

    • Possess a team-oriented work ethic and a history of working collaboratively and effectively in a team setting.

    • A willingness to work flexible hours when required.

    • 100% participation in a regular, disciplined spiritual growth process.

    Education and Skills 

    • Experience : Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a leader in the audio production area.

    • Education : Bachelor's degree in Audio Production, Media, Broadcast, Recording or Music and/or an equivalent level of professional experience. Consideration may be given to candidates having experience and demonstrated proficiency in the field.

    • Must have extensive knowledge in mixing both modern worship music and choral/orchestral music.

    • Must have experience engineering both digital and analog consoles for recordings using multi-track systems and Pro Tools. 

    • Must have ability to operate, maintain and act as an instructor for audio production equipment.

    • Excellent live and studio mixing capabilities, along with strong musical sensibilities.

    • Knowledge, understanding and execution of current standards for audio production at a professional level, in both live and studio settings.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Audio engineer for weekend services and various special events and church-wide communication initiatives.

    • Audio engineer (or oversight) of various Highlands Christian Schools special events and concerts throughout the year.

    • Recruit, train and lead audio volunteer teams.

    • Act as Recording Engineer for special projects and initiatives as required.

    • Provide post-production for weekend audio content.

    Work Schedule

    This position is 40+ hours per week and requires working on Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays (Christmas/Easter).
