Highlands Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking spiritually mature, passionate, and nurturing early childhood educators who have been called to join our amazing team and minister to our students. We are looking to hire full-time teachers and have several openings available. Highlands Christian Schools is a ministry of the Church of the Highlands and by applying to this position, you are acknowledging your commitment to serving Jesus Christ within the ministry of the school.

You will be tasked with engaging children in age- appropriate individual and group- based activities to stimulate growth in their spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, behavioral, and motor skills. We strive to foster an environment of creativity, individuality, safety, and social maturity.

In order to qualify for this position you must have the following but not limited to:

• At least 12 core ECE units, or 2 years experience working in a preschool setting, or 1 year teaching. Some experience working with children 2 - 5 year olds.

• Must be a born-again believer in an active relationship with Jesus Christ.

• May be working on a degree in early childhood education or a related field.

• Must have a solid understanding of early childhood development and education.

• Must have a general understanding of technology (i.e. GSuite)

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• At least 5 years experience working in a toddler setting or 1 year teaching and some experience working with children 18-30 months of age

• Must be a born-again believer in an active relationship with Jesus Christ

• May be working on a degree in early childhood education or a related field 

• Must have a solid understanding of early childhood development and education

• Must have a general understanding of technology (i.e. GSuite)

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Understanding of child development stages and appropriate activities for toddlers

• Ability to create safe and nurturing environments

• Ability to supervise and care for Toddlers, including diaper changes and meal preparation
