Performing Arts

The Conservatory shares the physical facilities with Highlands Christian Schools and is committed to excellence in musical training. The conservatory offers an extensive and well-rounded program of individual instruction and performance opportunities. Private lessons are available for a fee on a semester basis, sixteen lessons per semester. The HCS Performing Arts Program consists of Band, Orchestra, Choral and a Dramatic Arts Program.

Lessons may be offered in piano, guitar, woodwinds, percussion, voice and strings. Students are scheduled for one private 30-minute lesson each week. The primary importance of scheduled lessons is to teach dependability, which is necessary for a student to progress.

At the end of the semester, conservatory students participate in a recital in which they exhibit their skills before parents, friends and faculty.
