Toddlers, PreSchool, & Pre-K Process

Parents/guardians are to make an appointment to view the school facility with your child/children and allow us to answer any questions you might have regarding our program. If parents/guardians are interested in having their child/children admitted to the Preschool, registration forms must be completed and submitted for consideration on a space-available basis.

Students are enrolled on a space-available basis. If there is no space available, the child’s name will be put on our wait list. The parents/guardians will be notified when space is available. Please note, however, that due to limited space, being on the wait list is not a guarantee of enrollment.

Admissions Process for Students Entering Kindergarten through 8th Grades

1. Contact Admissions
We are excited that you are interested in Highlands Christian Schools for your child(ren). Please contact our admissions department at 650.266.4321 or admissions@highlands.us to get started.

2. Arrange for placement testing
Once you have connected with our admissions department a placement test for your child(ren) will be scheduled. All new applicants are evaluated prior to registering to insure appropriate grade placement. Selected sub-tests of the current curriculum along with specialized reading, math and writing assessments are used for all grades except Kindergarten. A readiness test is given to students entering Kindergarten. The fee for testing and evaluation is $120 and is not refundable. Testing and evaluation do not guarantee enrollment.

3. Admissions Next Steps
After your child has taken the placement test, an appointment will be made with the admissions department to discuss the nest steps.

Enrollment is based on space availability, testing and evaluation results, previous report cards, receipt of requested materials and references.
